The WWII War Emergency Boxcar, represents the prototype 40 ft. 6 in. inside length, 10 ft. 6 in. inside height car, built from 1943-1944. The car has outside braced sides. This ATSF version has a composite side door. The car is painted mineral red with a black roof. The lettering is white with the black and white, circle/cross Santa Fe herald. The car is equipped with metal wheelsets and Kadee® couplers.
