The Prototype:
Pennsylvania RR took delivery of these 44-seat
long-distance coaches starting in 1947. These 85-foot cars rode on
four-wheel 2D-P15 trucks. Cars built by American Car & Foundry were
numbered in the 4068-4091 series. A number of virtually identical cars
were built by the Pennsy's Altoona shops and were numbered 4100-4169.
The Model:
This HO scale car is not
just your typical model. From it's highly detailed underframe (each
Z-brace is a separate piece!), complete underbody detail, and the newly tooled
metal 2D-P15 trucks - to the detailed body (complete with a readable trust
plate!) this is one of the finest models ever produced.
These completely assembled cars feature:
